Stacia LaRaé Hollingsworth, MD, MHS

Member-In-Training

Dr. Stacia LaRaé Hollingsworth was born in the Bronx, NY and eventually moved to Northern Virginia while in elementary school. She received her Bachelor of Science degrees in premedicine and neuro psychology at The Pennsylvania State University and is a proud Nittany Lion to this day! Following graduation, she went back to Virginia and had the honor of teaching 4th grade and kindergarten while saving money for medical school. It was through her meaningful experiences with her students that her spark and passion for becoming a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist blossomed! After teaching, she went on to receive her MHS and MD degrees from Meharry Medical College. She is currently a PGY-2 psychiatry resident at Meharry and continues to pour into her love of mentorship/teaching through her interactions with her former students as well as with medical students! Throughout her career she hopes to continue developing the skills to become a physician who not only treats patients but also advocates for systems that ensure all children can access compassionate, quality psychiatric care! She is especially passionate about advocating for and providing exceptional care to children from underserved and marginalized communities! She is excited to serve the BPA and collaborate with its members and executive board to further advance its mission.
